The ESTONE TJ-A051 connects a USB-C source with DisplayPort Alt Mode to an HDMI 2.1 display. It supports 48 Gbps bandwidth and resolutions up to 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. The 6.6 ft braided cable has an aluminium alloy shell and operates from -15 °C to 55 °C. It is aimed at users who need a single-cable link from a laptop, tablet or phone to a high-resolution monitor, TV or projector.

Upgrade from Older USB-C Video Cables

This cable replaces legacy USB-C to HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 leads that are limited to 4K at 60 Hz or lower refresh rates. The jump is worth it when the display and source both support HDMI 2.1 and the user needs 4K at 120 Hz or 8K at 30 Hz for gaming, HDR video or high-refresh desktop work. It also adds eARC support for simplified surround-sound wiring. Devices without DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C cannot use this cable.

Bandwidth and Resolution Headroom

The 48 Gbps link comfortably handles 4K at 120 Hz with HDR and DSC 1.2 compression, plus 2K at 144 Hz or 165 Hz for competitive gaming. At 8K the cable reaches 30 Hz, which suits media playback but not high-frame-rate gaming. 1080p at 240 Hz is also supported. The cable is one-way only, from USB-C to HDMI, and does not carry power or USB data. MacBook models are limited to 4K at 60 Hz regardless of cable capability.
