What the cable does and who uses it

This USB-C 3.2 Gen2 male-to-female extender adds two metres of reach for laptops and monitors that support DisplayPort Alternate Mode. It passes 20Gbps data and up to 240W Power Delivery so external SSDs, docks or eGPUs can sit further from the host. A separate male-to-male USB-C 3.2 cable is required to complete the link and is not included.

Sustained data and power behaviour

The cable maintains the full 20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2 rate during long transfers to external storage or eGPU enclosures without dropping to lower USB speeds. Power Delivery 3.1 and Quick Charge 4.0 negotiate up to 50V/5A so high-wattage laptops continue charging at 240W, 100W, 96W, 87W, 61W, 60W, 30W, 18W or 15W throughout extended sessions. Backward compatibility with PD 3.0, PD 2.0, QC 3.0, QC 2.0 and Samsung adaptive fast charging keeps older adapters working at their rated limits.

Thermals noise and power draw

Passive copper construction means no fan noise and zero active power consumption beyond the devices at each end. The cable handles the negotiated PD voltage and current without measurable self-heating during normal charging or data workloads. Connectors are rated for the full 240W envelope so sustained high-power operation stays within specification.
