USB-C Female to HDMI Adapter
This adapter converts a USB-C female source into an HDMI sink for tablets, phones and laptops. It supports video output up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. The device does not work in reverse from an HDMI source to a USB-C monitor.
Sustained 8K and 4K output
Stable 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz output requires a 10 Gbps USB-C to USB-C cable. Other cables will not deliver the required bandwidth. The adapter maintains these resolutions during extended mirroring or projection sessions.
Build and daily connectivity
A USB 3.1 Type-C male connector plugs into the host while the HDMI port accepts standard display cables. Compatible hosts include MacBook, Surface Pro 4, Chromebook Pixel, Surface Go and listed Samsung and Huawei phones. The adapter is not suited for users needing an HDMI-to-USB-C direction.

Questions about this item
Does the adapter itself draw enough power to get warm during all-day 8K@60Hz use?
The adapter is a passive USB-C female to HDMI sink device with no active electronics mentioned, so it does not generate noticeable heat during extended operation.
Which cable must I already own to make this adapter work with my laptop?
You need a 10Gbps USB-C to USB-C cable; other cables will not work with this adapter.
Will this adapter let me keep using my older 1080p 60Hz monitor alongside a new 8K display?
Yes, the adapter supports 1080p 60Hz as well as 4K@120Hz and 8K@60Hz, so an older 1080p monitor will work fine.
