Targeted Outdoor Fly Control

The BugBane 2 reusable fly traps are designed for outdoor use on patios, yards or ranches. They target all common filth flies including house, blow, flesh and stable flies. The system draws insects away from living areas when hung at a distance from the home.

Bait Activation And Placement Limits

Each trap uses a non-toxic bait made from fish, egg and bran that dissolves in water to release an attractant. A blue visual lure works alongside the scent so the bait does not need to be as pungent as alternatives. Effectiveness drops in high wind, so sheltered spots are required. Warm water speeds activation, while shade is recommended in high heat and sun in cooler conditions.

Durable Construction With Reusable Design

The traps are made from thick, durable plastic and include hanging chains for quick suspension. Four bait refills are supplied, allowing the same units to be used repeatedly. This reduces plastic waste compared to single-use options. The traps measure 8.5 by 3.75 inches, and the fill line indicates the correct water level for each refill.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the two-trap pack with four bait refills or a larger multi-pack for my yard?

This pack includes two reusable traps, two hanging chains and four dissolvable bait refills, so each trap can be rebaited once before you need extra refills.

What does the 20-foot hanging distance do once the trap is in place?

Hanging the trap 20 feet from the house draws flies away from living areas and toward the bait, reducing the number that reach doors or patios.

How does the dissolvable bait work with the trap's opening once water is added?

Adding water to the fill line dissolves the fish, egg and bran bait, releasing an odour that attracts filth flies through the trap entry where they are caught.
