Product identity

The Burndy GAR6426 is a copper mechanical grounding clamp designed for direct burial applications. It connects a single grounding conductor to pipe, ground rod or rebar in commercial electrical installations.

Upgrade scope

This clamp replaces older connectors that lack UL467 direct-burial listing or that accept a narrower wire range. The jump is worth it when a project requires a listed connector for 4 AWG solid through 2/0 AWG stranded copper conductors.

Compatibility checks

Verify that the conductor is copper and falls within the 4 AWG solid to 2/0 AWG stranded range. Confirm the mounting surface matches 3/8 inch pipe, 5/8 to 3/4 inch ground rod or #5 to #6 rebar before ordering.
