This Burndy long-barrel compression lug is built for 300 kcmil stranded copper conductors in commercial electrical installations. It accepts a 1/2 in stud on a 1.75 in hole centre spacing and carries a 35 kV maximum voltage rating. The straight tongue measures 1.2 in wide and uses a white colour code with die code 17, 298 for correct tool selection.

Replaces Short-Barrel Lugs When Inspection Holes

The long barrel adds contact length for a more secure crimp on 300 kcmil wire where a shorter barrel would leave less compression area. It is the correct choice when the job specifies CSA certification and UL 486A-486B listing but does not call for an inspection hole.
