A 20 A, 125 V AC GFCI duplex receptacle with tamper and weather resistance, flush-mounted via screw terminals
This Hubbell GFCI receptacle provides ground-fault protection for 20 amp, 125 volt AC circuits. It is designed for residential or light-commercial wiring where a 5-20R duplex outlet is required. The tamper-resistant and weather-resistant construction suits indoor or protected outdoor locations. Builders and electricians specify it for code-compliant branch circuits.
The straight screw-terminal connection accepts up to three conductors for line, load and ground wiring. No cover plate is included, so a matching 1-gang wall plate must be sourced separately. The duplex receptacle mounts flush in a standard electrical box. Tamper-resistant shutters block foreign objects while allowing normal plug insertion.
The white nylon housing resists impact and chemical exposure in everyday service. A NEMA 1 enclosure rating means the device is rated for indoor use without additional weatherproofing. Flush mounting keeps the face nearly level with the finished wall surface. The grounded, polarized 2-pole, 3-wire design meets NEC requirements for standard branch circuits.

The internal shutters are built into the receptacle body and do not require separate replacement; if they become damaged the entire 20 A unit must be replaced.
The device is rated for 20 A at 125 V AC; sustained loads above 20 A will cause the internal breaker to trip.
At the rated 20 A the nylon housing remains within NEC temperature limits; no active cooling is needed.
