Connects 3/0-4/0 AWG stranded copper wire to a 1/2 inch stud with two 0.56 inch holes spaced 1.75 inches apart, rated 600 V and 194 degrees F
The Burndy QA282N is a copper mechanical lug designed for terminating a single stranded copper conductor. It accepts wire sizes from 3/0 AWG up to 4/0 AWG maximum and provides a two-hole mounting pattern with 1/2 in stud holes. The connector is rated for 600 V and a maximum operating temperature of 194 Degrees F.
Verify that your stranded copper wire falls within the 3/0 AWG minimum to 4/0 AWG maximum range before ordering. Confirm the mounting surface accommodates two holes with 0.56 in diameter spaced 1.75 in apart. The hex head requires a suitable driver and the tongue measures 3.12 in long by 1 in wide by 0.25 in thick for clearance planning.
This lug upgrades from single-hole terminals or connectors rated for smaller wire gauges when a dual-hole mount and 4/0 AWG capacity are required. The jump is worth it when the installation demands the mechanical security of two 1/2 in studs and the ampacity of maximum-gauge stranded copper at 600 V. It is not for aluminum conductors or multi-conductor terminations.

The lug itself is supplied without bolts; you will need to source two 1/2 in stud bolts and matching washers or nuts to secure the 1.75 in spaced holes.
This single model accepts stranded copper from 3/0 AWG minimum up to 4/0 AWG maximum, so one lug covers both sizes.
Yes, the copper body and hex-head set screw are rated for 600 V and 194 °F maximum operating temperature, suitable for continuous use within those limits.
