High-Temperature PTFE Lead Wire

This 20 AWG silver-plated copper wire uses PTFE insulation rated to 392 degrees F. It is built for electrical and industrial circuits that must survive continuous high heat. The 300V AC rating suits low-voltage control and signal runs.

Fits tight routing in hot zones

PTFE jacket resists oils, solvents and abrasion while staying flexible. The thin 20 gauge conductor threads through crowded panels and harnesses where thicker cable would bind. Black colour coding simplifies identification in multi-wire looms.

100-foot spool covers long pulls

Continuous length reduces splices in extended runs through ovens, lighting fixtures or engine bays. Silver-plated copper maintains conductivity at the full 392-degree limit. Not suited for mains-voltage power distribution above the 300V rating.

Questions about this item

How long can the 20 AWG conductor handle continuous operation at the 392 °F rating before insulation breakdown?

PTFE insulation is rated for 392 °F continuous service, so the 20 AWG silver-plated copper conductor can run at that temperature indefinitely without thermal degradation.

Does the PTFE jacket emit noticeable odor or smoke when the wire runs at 300 V AC and 392 °F in an enclosed cabinet?

PTFE remains chemically stable at 392 °F and 300 V AC, producing no significant odor or smoke during sustained operation in enclosed spaces.

What termination method and connector type are required for the silver-plated copper conductor and PTFE insulation?

Use crimp terminals or solder lugs rated for silver-plated copper; strip the PTFE cleanly with a thermal stripper to avoid nicking the 20 AWG strands.
