Green 12-ton crimping die for 1 AWG copper lugs, compatible with PAT46, PAT750, Y35, Y39, Y46 and Y750 tool series
This Burndy U1CRT1 die is a new upper and lower crimping set designed for electricians and technicians terminating 1 AWG copper lugs. It delivers a maximum crimping force of 12 ton when paired with compatible Burndy hand or power crimpers.
The U Style die series fits Burndy tool models including PAT46, PAT750, Y35, Y39, Y46 and Y750. Using the correct die series ensures proper crimp geometry and reliable electrical connections for the specified lug size.
The green connector colour code identifies this die for 1 AWG copper lug capacity. Select this die only when your application requires that exact wire gauge and colour-coded connector match.

Inspect the upper and lower die faces for wear or deformation after heavy use; replace the set if the green colour code marking becomes illegible or the profile no longer matches 1 AWG copper lugs.
The die set is rated for 1 AWG copper lugs at 12 ton maximum force; sustained operation at that limit will eventually deform the die profile before the tool reaches its own capacity.
The die itself produces no noise or heat; any sound or temperature rise comes from the crimper motor or hydraulic pump used with PAT46, PAT750, Y35, Y39, Y46 or Y750 series tools.
