U-style crimping die for 12-ton tools accepting 300 kcmil copper and 4/0 AWG aluminium lugs
This Burndy U28ART die set provides upper and lower crimping dies in a U style configuration. It is rated for a maximum crimping force of 12 ton and suits 300 kcmil copper lugs or 4/0 AWG aluminium lugs. The die carries a white colour code and is supplied as a single piece.
The die works with Burndy PAT46, PAT750, PUADP1, Y35, Y46 and Y750 tools across the 35 Series and 750 Series ranges. It replaces worn or missing dies for YA-A and YS-A connector types. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing dies no longer meet the 12 ton force requirement.
Professionals needing a white coded U style die for these specific conductor sizes will find the correct fit. Buyers who require multiple crimping sizes in one die or a different colour code should look at alternative die sets.

This U-style die is built for 12-ton tools and matches the 35 Series and 750 Series frames, including PAT46, PAT750, PUADP1, Y35, Y46 and Y750 models.
Seat the upper die half first, then the lower half; the common error is reversing the order, which prevents the dies from closing fully on the connector.
Replace the die set when the crimp profile shows visible wear, the white color-code marking is no longer legible, or the die halves no longer align cleanly during closure.
