Six-Tray Desk Sorter

The Business Source 86880 provides six compartments across three pockets for sorting letters, invoices and project files. Its jumbo footprint measures 12.3" high by 18.1" wide by 10" deep, giving ample room for high-volume paperwork. The unit arrives new and ready to place on any flat desktop.

Desk-Footprint Constraints

The sorter occupies 18.1 inches of desk width and 10 inches of depth, so the surface must be clear across that full rectangle. At 12.3 inches tall it may interfere with low monitor shelves or overhead cabinets. No wall-mount hardware is included, so the unit remains freestanding only.

Before Ordering

Measure the available desk area to confirm the 18.1 by 10 inch base fits without overhang. Verify that vertical clearance above the surface exceeds 12.3 inches to avoid contact with shelving. Ensure the desk top is level and sturdy enough to support a fully loaded paper sorter.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the 3-pocket and 6-compartment layouts of the 86880 sorter?

The Business Source 86880 is a single unit that combines both layouts: it has three pockets, each divided into two compartments for a total of six sections.

What does the 12.3-inch height mean for paper storage on my desk?

At 12.3 inches tall, the sorter fits standard letter and legal folders upright while leaving enough clearance under most overhead cabinets.

Does the 18.1-inch width require a specific desk depth or mounting standard?

The 18.1-inch wide footprint sits freely on any flat surface at least 10 inches deep; no mounting hardware or special desk standard is needed.
