Bussmann AMG-100 Automotive Fuse 100A 32V DC Non-Indicating

SKU CH-J0GX-ZC5PY

A 100 A, 32 V DC fast-acting bolt-on fuse with a 1 kA interrupt rating and black colour coding

  • 100 A current rating protects high-draw circuits
  • 32 V DC rating suits automotive systems
  • Fast-acting response limits fault damage
  • Bolt-on body style enables secure mounting
  • 1 kA interrupt rating at 32 V DC handles short circuits

AMG-100 100A 32V DC Automotive Fuse

The Bussmann AMG-100 is a fast-acting automotive fuse rated for 100 amperes at 32 volts DC. It suits vehicles and low-voltage DC circuits that require bolt-on overcurrent protection in a compact plastic body.

Non-Indicating Bolt-On Design

The fuse uses a non-indicating, single-element construction with a black colour code and bolt-on terminals. It fits compatible HME series fuse blocks and cross-references Littelfuse 298 series equivalents for direct replacement.

1kA Interrupt Rating at 32V DC

The interrupt rating is 1 kiloampere at 32 volts DC, so the device cannot safely clear faults above that energy level. It is not suited for higher-voltage systems or applications demanding visual blow indication.

Questions about this item

How often will the AMG-100 fuse need to be replaced under normal vehicle electrical loads?

The AMG-100 is a single-element, fast-acting fuse rated at 100 A and 32 V DC with a 1 kA interrupt rating. It only requires replacement after it operates to clear an overcurrent fault.

What is the first limit reached when the AMG-100 carries continuous current near its 100 A rating?

The fuse is designed to open quickly once current exceeds its 100 A rating, so the current-carrying capacity itself is the limiting factor under sustained overload.

How much heat does the AMG-100 generate when installed in a HME fuse block and running all day?

The plastic-bodied, bolt-on AMG-100 dissipates heat through its 2-11/16 in by 5/8 in footprint; temperature rise depends on the actual current carried and the block's ventilation.
