A 30 A Type III plug-in circuit breaker with ATC footprint for 28 V DC automotive systems
The Bussmann CB227-30 is a Type III ATC footprint circuit breaker rated for 30 A at 28 V DC. It serves boats, buses, RVs and trucks that need a resettable alternative to a standard blade fuse. The manual reset function lets the user restore power after an overload without replacing a fuse link.
The breaker uses a surface-style plug-in mount that fits directly into an ATC fuse block, so installation requires no special tools or wiring changes. Blade terminals provide a secure connection that resists vibration in heavy-duty mobile applications. A thermoplastic housing insulates the contacts and withstands under-hood or bilge environments.
This device upgrades a single-use 30 A blade fuse to a manually resettable breaker, eliminating the need to carry spare fuses for repeated overloads. The jump is worth it when a circuit experiences occasional spikes that would otherwise blow a fuse and leave a critical system offline. It does not suit applications that require automatic cycling or a higher interrupt rating than 2 kA.

The breaker is rated for 28 V DC systems and has a 2 kA interrupt capacity at that voltage.
It uses an ATC fuse footprint, so it fits the same rectangular blade slot as a standard ATC fuse.
Push the blade terminals into the ATC fuse block until fully seated; the manual reset button will not latch if the breaker is not fully inserted.
