The Bussmann DFJ-20 is a Class J fast-acting fuse rated for 20A at 600V AC and 450V DC. It provides overcurrent protection for industrial control panels, motor circuits and power distribution equipment. The cylindrical melamine body measures 2-1/4 in length by 13/16 in diameter. It carries an interrupt rating of 200kA at 600V AC and 100kA at 450V DC.

Installation fits CH30J, JM600, JP600.

The fuse slides into compatible non-rejection style fuse blocks without tools. Because it is non-indicating, there is no visual flag to show when the element has opened. A common issue is selecting a time-delay fuse instead of this fast-acting type, which can cause nuisance trips on inrush currents or fail to protect sensitive components quickly enough.

Confirm the circuit operates at or below 600V AC or 450V DC and requires a 20A fast-acting Class J fuse. Check that the existing fuse block is a non-rejection style from the CH30J, JM600, JP600, JT600 or JTN600 series.
