15 mm DIN Rail Mounting Channel

This galvanised steel C-section channel conforms to DIN 46277-2 and EN 50045 for standard terminal-block mounting. Each length measures 1 m overall with a 15 mm height and 32 mm width. The pack supplies ten channels ready for panel assembly.

Sustained mechanical load

The steel construction resists deformation when terminal blocks are clamped continuously along the 1 m rail. Galvanised finish protects against corrosion in humid cabinets. Mounting holes spaced 0.79 in on centre with 0.48 in width distribute fastening forces evenly.

Installation notes

Channels screw directly to the panel through the pre-punched holes using standard hardware. The 15 mm rail size matches common DIN terminal blocks without adapters. Misaligned hole centres or over-tightened screws can distort the rail profile and prevent blocks from seating properly.

Questions about this item

Does the steel DIN rail heat up when carrying current all day?

The channel is a passive steel rail with a galvanized finish; it does not generate heat itself, but attached terminal blocks will warm according to their own load ratings.

What must I already have to mount these 1 m channels?

You need M5 or #10 fasteners spaced on 0.79 in centres to match the 0.48 in wide mounting holes in each rail.

Will terminal blocks made to the older DIN 46277 standard clip onto this 15 mm rail?

Yes — the rail meets DIN 46277-2 and EN 50045, so legacy blocks designed for those standards fit directly.
