Pack of five 250 mA time-delay glass fuses rated 250 V AC with a 100 A interrupt rating and 10 kA at 125 V AC
The Bussmann GMD-250-R is a glass-bodied time-delay fuse rated at 250 mA and 250 V AC. It suits circuits that need a short surge allowance before opening, such as low-power control boards or instrument inputs. Each pack contains five identical pieces for spare stock or multi-point protection. Buyers who need a fast-acting fuse or a higher current rating should choose a different series.
The fuse carries a 100 A interrupt rating at 250 V AC and a 10 kA rating at 125 V AC, limiting let-through energy during a fault. Its time-delay element tolerates brief inrush currents without nuisance opening, keeping temperature rise low during normal operation. The glass tube runs silently and dissipates minimal heat at the rated 250 mA load. No active cooling or ventilation is required for the fuse itself.
The part meets CE, CSA Class 1422-01 and UL 248-14 Guide JDYX requirements, simplifying regulatory approvals for finished equipment. Its 20 mm by 5 mm cylindrical body fits standard HTB-series fuse blocks and clips without modification. The non-rejection design allows direct insertion into compatible holders, and the five-piece pack supports quick replacement during maintenance.

Slide the cylindrical fuse into the HTB block clips until both metal end caps seat fully; the step often missed is confirming the time-delay element faces the load side so the 100 A interrupt rating at 250 V AC is effective.
The fuse is a single-element, non-rejection device; once it interrupts a fault at 10 kA (125 V AC) or 100 A (250 V AC) it must be replaced with another 250 mA unit from the pack of 5.
The 250 mA continuous rating is the first limit; exceeding it causes the time-delay element to melt, opening the circuit before the 35 A interrupt capacity at 250 V AC is tested.
