A 50 A, 600 V AC/DC Class RK5 solar fuse with 200 kA AC and 20 kA DC interrupt ratings, UL 2579 listed for photovoltaic line protection
This fast-acting fuse protects PV strings at 50 A and 600 V AC or DC. It is built to Class RK5 requirements for rejection-style holders in solar combiner boxes and disconnects.
The cylindrical fiberglass body slides into standard RK5 clips, freeing panel space because no separate indicator window is needed. CSA certification and UL 2579 listing cover the photovoltaic application.
Interrupt rating reaches 200 kA at 600 V AC and 20 kA at 600 V DC, so the element clears heavy faults without prolonged arcing. Single-element construction maintains consistent let-through energy during extended overloads.

The fuse is rated for 50 A continuous current and will open when that limit is exceeded under sustained load.
The fuse body is 5-1/2 in long by 1-1/16 in diameter and is made of fiberglass; heat dissipation depends on the surrounding enclosure and airflow.
A Class RK5 rejection-style fuse block that accepts a 5-1/2 in by 1-1/16 in cylindrical fuse is required for proper installation.
