4x4 HDMI 2.1 matrix switcher

The BZBGEAR BG-8K-44MA routes four HDMI 2.1a sources to four HDMI 2.1a displays independently. It handles 8K60 4:2:0, 8K30 4:4:4 and 4K120 4:4:4 signals at 48Gbps bandwidth. Integrators and multi-room AV installations gain flexible distribution with auto downscaling on every output.

HDMI 2.1a 48Gbps interface limits

The switch passes uncompressed video up to 1200MHz pixel clock with HDCP 2.3 compliance on all ports. Legacy sinks receive automatically downscaled 1080p images without manual setup. Audio de-embedding is limited to LPCM 2.0 on balanced Phoenix connectors and LPCM 2.0, Dolby or DTS 5.1 on optical S/PDIF outputs.

Verify source, display and control requirements

Confirm each source outputs HDMI 2.1a signalling compatible with 48Gbps throughput and that target displays accept the resolutions listed. Ensure control infrastructure supports IR, RS-232 or TCP/IP Web GUI for matrix management. The unit measures 440mm wide, 203mm deep and 44.5mm high for rack or shelf planning.

Questions about this item

How do I choose the right matrix size for my setup?

The BG-8K-44MA is a fixed 4x4 matrix with four HDMI inputs and four HDMI outputs, so it suits installations that need to route up to four sources to up to four displays simultaneously.

What does the 48 Gbps bandwidth deliver in a real installation?

It carries uncompressed 8K60 4:2:0, 8K30 4:4:4 or 4K120 4:4:4 signals across all four outputs with no quality loss, and each output includes auto downscaling for legacy screens.

Which HDMI version and HDCP standard does the switcher implement?

All eight HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1a compliant and support HDCP 2.3, providing 48 Gbps bandwidth and compatibility with earlier HDCP versions.
