C14 to C15 PDU jumper for hot gear
This white 14 AWG cord connects a rack PDU or C13 outlet to equipment with a high-temperature C16 inlet. The notched C15 end is rated for the heat that network switches and dense servers produce. It is built for 15A at 250V with a 105C SJT jacket.
Installation and common issues
Plug the C14 end into the PDU and the C15 end into the device inlet; the notch only fits one way. A frequent mistake is using a standard C13 plug on a C16 inlet, which will not seat and can melt under load. The 14 AWG copper handles the rated current without overheating when fully inserted.
Gauge decides the load
The 14 AWG conductor is rated for up to 15A, matching the cord's 15A/250V label and the UL file E210037 certification. Lighter 16 AWG or 18 AWG cords cannot carry this current safely. Choose this gauge when the connected equipment draws up to 15A from the PDU.

Questions about this item
How can I confirm the cord is rated for 15 A at 250 V after I plug it in?
Check the jacket printing for 14 AWG, 15A/250V, SJT, 105C/300V and the UL/CSA file E210037 mark.
What comes in the box and do I need any extra parts to connect a switch with a C16 inlet to a PDU?
The cord includes the C14 plug and notched C15 connector only; no extra adapters are required if the PDU has C13/C14 outlets and the switch has a C16 inlet.
Which gauge should I choose for a 15 A server load — 14 AWG or 12 AWG?
The 14 AWG version is rated up to 15 A; choose 12 AWG only when the circuit is rated for 20 A.
