Purpose & Audience

This 18" low-profile XLR stereo cable connects camera-mounted stereo microphones to professional digital motion picture cameras with XLR-5F inputs. It is built for production teams using Sony Venice, Arri Alexa, Arri Amira or Varicam bodies who need a compact, reliable audio link.

Build & Connectors

Right-angle XLR-5F to XLR-5M connectors allow easy mating in tight rigs and crowded camera cages. The ultra-flexible PUR polyurethane jacket is crush-resistant, tear-resistant and cold-resistant, while user-adjustable cable outlets add routing versatility for field production.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your camera provides an XLR-5F input and that your stereo microphone terminates in an XLR-5M plug before ordering. The 18-inch length suits on-camera mounting; setups requiring longer runs between mic and recorder will need a different cable length.

Questions about this item

What does the XLR-5 connector carry on this cable?

The XLR-5F to XLR-5M wiring passes a stereo microphone signal, matching the pin-out used by Sony Venice, Arri Alexa, Arri Amira and Varicam camera inputs.

How much clearance does the low-profile right-angle plug need behind the camera?

The compact right-angle XLR-5M hood sits close to the panel, so it fits in the tight space around a camera-mounted stereo mic without fouling adjacent controls.

How do I set the cable outlet direction before locking the connector?

Rotate the user-adjustable outlet on each plug to the desired angle, then tighten the locking collar; the PUR jacket stays flexible in cold conditions.
