An 8-metre duplex multimode fibre patch lead with LC connectors, OM4-rated for 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s links
This eight-metre duplex multimode cable uses LC connectors and OM4-rated 50/125 fibre in a PVC jacket. It is built for 10G, 40G and 100G Ethernet or Fibre Channel runs between switches, servers or patch panels. The aqua sheath identifies the OM4 grade at a glance.
Swapping legacy OM3 or OM2 jumpers for this OM4 cable extends the reach of 10G, 40G and 100G links without changing transceivers. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing cables limit distance or when new 40G/100G ports are added to the rack. It does not suit single-mode infrastructure or outdoor plant.

The cable is 8 metres long and terminated with LC connectors on both ends.
It uses a duplex LC connector pair; the common error is crossing the transmit and receive fibres during installation.
