USB to PS2 adapter for legacy peripherals

This compact C2G 27277 adapter connects a PS2 keyboard or mouse to a USB port on a modern computer. It is designed for users who want to keep using compatible PS2 input devices without replacing them. No external power supply is needed for operation.

Check for PS2 signal compatibility before ordering

The adapter only works with devices that natively output PS2 protocol over the USB connector. Keyboards or mice that are USB-only will not function through this passive adapter. Verify that your peripheral supports dual USB and PS2 signalling before purchase.

Replaces a missing or damaged PS2 port on the host

Use this adapter when a desktop or laptop lacks a native PS2 connector but you still rely on a compatible PS2 keyboard or mouse. The upgrade is worthwhile when the peripheral remains reliable and you prefer not to buy a new USB input device.

Does the 27277 adapter include any cables or do I need a separate PS2 keyboard lead?

The adapter is a single USB male to PS2 female unit; you must supply your own PS2 keyboard or mouse cable.

The listing mentions keyboards and mice — can one adapter handle both at the same time?
