Single-gang HDMI wall plate

The Cables To Go 39870 is a single-gang wall plate with an HDMI female-to-female pass-through and a flexible pigtail. It provides a clean, professional transition for in-wall HDMI cabling in commercial and residential settings.

Suited for fixed installations, not portable use

Installers fitting classrooms, conference rooms or houses of worship will appreciate the aluminium construction and standard single-gang compatibility. Users needing a simple inline coupler for temporary connections or a gender changer without a wall-box mount should look elsewhere.

Passes standard HDMI audio and video signals

The plate handles the HDMI signals present at the source and display without active processing. It offers no signal amplification or format conversion, so very long cable runs or advanced feature negotiation beyond the connected devices' own capabilities are not supported.

Questions about this item

What type of wall box do I need to mount this single-gang HDMI wall plate?

It fits a standard single gang wall box, so you can install it in the same box used for a light switch or outlet.

Will my existing HDMI cables plug directly into this wall plate?

Yes, the plate provides two HDMI female ports, so any standard HDMI cable with a male connector will plug in without an extra adapter.

How can I verify the wall plate is passing audio and video correctly after installation?

Connect a source and display, play content with sound, and confirm both picture and audio appear on the screen.
