Select VGA Cable for In-Wall Use

This 0.91 m VGA cable carries analogue video up to 2048x1536 resolution between a source and a display. It suits desktop setups or permanent in-wall runs in commercial spaces. All fifteen pins are wired for DDC2 and EDID communication so the display reports its capabilities automatically.

CMG-Rated Jacket and Low-Profile Connectors

The CMG-rated jacket meets in-wall fire-safety requirements for fixed installations. Rounded, low-profile connectors fit into tight spaces such as projector mount poles without snagging. The construction supports reliable signal transmission over distances up to 150 ft.

Fits Permanent AV Installations

The cable frees installers from routing exposed cords across rooms by allowing in-wall placement. It needs a VGA source and a VGA display with standard HD15 ports. Buyers who require digital interfaces such as HDMI or DisplayPort, or lengths beyond 150 ft, should choose a different cable type.

Questions about this item

How do I route this CMG-rated VGA cable through a wall and what step is often missed?

Run the cable inside the wall cavity using the CMG-rated jacket for code compliance, then fully seat both 15-pin connectors so every pin makes contact for DDC2 and EDID handshake.

What upkeep does this in-wall VGA cable need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; inspect the connector shells and jacket if the cable is ever pulled back, and replace only if pins bend or the CMG jacket shows damage.

At what length does signal quality become the limiting factor for QXGA resolution?

The cable is designed for high-resolution video up to 150 ft; beyond that distance QXGA 2048x1536 integrity cannot be assured.
