40 ft CL2 HDMI cable

The C2G 50635 is a 40-foot Standard Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet designed for in-wall runs in homes, offices or classrooms. It connects any two HDMI Type A devices such as a Blu-ray player, set-top box or laptop to a display or projector. The CL2 rating meets fire-safety codes often required for commercial and educational installations. Male-to-male connectors make it a simple point-to-point link.

Double-shielded build and gold connectors

Foil-and-braid shielding blocks electromagnetic noise that can corrupt video and audio over long distances. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain reliable signal transfer after repeated mating cycles. The CMG-rated jacket is fire resistant and approved for routing through walls or plenum spaces without conduit. A single male HDMI plug on each end keeps the connection straightforward.

Upgrade from unshielded or non-rated cables

Replaces thinner, unshielded HDMI leads that suffer sparkles or drop-outs at 40 feet. The CL2 jacket removes the code-compliance risk when cables must pass through drywall or ceiling cavities. Standard Speed bandwidth supports 1080p resolution with Ethernet channel for device firmware updates or smart-TV features. Not suited for 4K, HDR or high-refresh gaming signals that demand higher bandwidth.
