Product identity

The Cables Unlimited ZIP-AUDIO-CD6 is a retractable earbud accessory with a 2.5mm connector designed for portable audio devices. It suits listeners who want a compact canal-style earphone that stores neatly in a pocket or bag.

Capacity and headroom

The cord extends to over 48 inches when pulled and retracts to less than four inches for storage. A 2.5mm plug limits compatibility to older MP3 players, portable CD players, laptops, Walkmans and portable DVD players that still provide that jack.

Thermals noise and power

Passive earbuds draw no power and generate no heat or fan noise during use. The retractable housing keeps the cable tidy without adding active components that could affect temperature or acoustics.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5 mm connector on these earbuds work with my older MP3 player that also has a 2.5 mm jack?

Yes, the 2.5 mm plug is a standard analogue audio connector, so it will fit any device with a matching 2.5 mm headphone socket.

How can I confirm the retractable mechanism is functioning correctly after I unpack them?

Pull both ends until the cord extends past 48 inches, then pull again; it should spring back into the housing smoothly.

What comes in the package and do I need to buy any extra cables or adapters?

The box contains the retractable earbuds with integrated 2.5 mm plug; no separate cables or adapters are included.
