Smart food scale with nutrition tracking

The Calaytaly RS-0002 is a digital kitchen scale that pairs with the Fitdays+ app to calculate calories and macronutrients for weighed ingredients. It is designed for home cooks and fitness-focused users who want automatic food logging without manual entry. The built-in database covers over one million foods and updates daily targets as meals are recorded.

Compact design with colour TFT display

A vibrant TFT screen shows weight, calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat for each item placed on the platform. The scale measures from 2g up to 5kg in 1g increments and switches between five units including grams, millilitres for water and milk, ounces and pounds with ounces. An auto-tare function subtracts container weight instantly for seamless recipe assembly.

Limits of the Bluetooth app ecosystem

Nutrition data relies entirely on the companion app and its cloud database, so tracking stops if the phone connection is lost or the service changes. The 11lb maximum capacity restricts use to typical household portions and cannot weigh bulk ingredients or large cuts. Users who need offline nutrient lookup or higher load limits will find the platform unsuitable.

Questions about this item

What Bluetooth interface does the RS-0002 use to sync with the Fitdays+ app, and what data rate does it cap at in practice?

The scale pairs via Bluetooth with the free Fitdays+ app, sending each weight and nutrition reading to the phone for calorie, protein, carb and fat tracking.

What physical space and power does the RS-0002 need to sit on a countertop?

The compact black platform measures 2g minimum load and runs on batteries, so it fits in a small kitchen area without a mains cable.

How do I set up the RS-0002 for the first weigh-in, and which step do users often miss?

Install the Fitdays+ app, enable Bluetooth, pair the scale, then place the empty container and press tare before adding ingredients — skipping the tare press is the common mistake.
