Questions about this item

How do I install the 1 in threaded nipple onto IMC conduit, and what step is often missed?

Thread the nipple onto the conduit until tight, then apply the required torque; the step often missed is verifying the threads are clean and undamaged before starting.

What maintenance or replacement will the 304 stainless steel zinc-plated nipple need over time?

Inspect the zinc plating periodically for wear or corrosion; replace the nipple if the coating is breached or threads show deformation.

What limit appears first on the 1‑1/2 in nipple during sustained use in a threaded metallic conduit run?

The 0.16 lb nipple can loosen from vibration before the 304 stainless body yields, so re‑check torque at regular intervals.
