Umbrella type and height

This California Umbrella patio umbrella has an octagonal canopy and stands 97.88 inches high. It is designed for outdoor dining sets or lounge areas that need a wide circle of shade. The bronze aluminium frame matches the Sunbrella Astoria Lagoon fabric for a coordinated look. Buyers who want a rectangular or cantilever model should look elsewhere.

Frame and fabric installation

The umbrella ships in one carton directly from the manufacturer and requires minimal assembly of the aluminium pole and ribs. The Sunbrella canopy slides onto the frame and secures with a standard crank mechanism. Misalignment of the crank pin during first use is the most common issue; checking the pin seat before tightening avoids a jam. No tools beyond those supplied are needed.

Wind and sun exposure over time

The Sunbrella fabric resists fading and mildew through repeated daily exposure to direct sunlight. The bronze powder-coated aluminium frame holds its finish without chalking after multiple seasons. In sustained wind the octagonal shape distributes pressure evenly across the eight ribs, but the umbrella should be closed and secured when gusts exceed moderate levels. Buyers who leave it open in storms risk frame bending.
