Compatible Appareo Stratus battery

The Cameron & Co DS-CS-APS200SL is a lithium-polymer replacement battery built for Appareo Stratus 2, Stratus 2S and Stratus 3 GPS receivers. It matches the original 11-16408 and 153010-000038 part numbers and supplies 5.3 Ah at 3.7 V for 19.61 Wh of energy. Pilots needing a direct-fit power source for these specific units will find it matches the factory specification.

Sustained capacity delivery

The 5300 mAh cell maintains its rated output across the discharge curve rather than fading after a brief peak. Li-polymer chemistry keeps voltage stable during long flights, so the Stratus receiver continues broadcasting ADS-B traffic and weather data without interruption. The pack is engineered to meet the 100 % OEM-compatible claim under continuous load.

Slim black pack with exact fit

At 94.20 x 54.60 x 9.00 mm the battery slides into the Stratus battery compartment without forcing or gaps. The black li-polymer casing resists swelling and fits the existing latch mechanism, so installation requires no tools or modifications. Builders whose aircraft use a different GPS platform or who need a higher-capacity format will not be served by this model.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.7 V 5.3 Ah Li-Polymer cell generate noticeable heat during long flights?

The 19.61 Wh pack runs at a low 3.7 V, so heat build-up stays minimal even during extended use.

What must I already own for this 94.20 × 54.60 × 9.00 mm battery to power my unit?

You need an Appareo Stratus 2, 2S or 3 with the original 11-16408 or 153010-000038 battery compartment.

Will this replacement work in an older Stratus 2 that still uses the 11-16408 part number?

Yes, the DS-CS-APS200SL is 100 % OEM compatible with the 11-16408 and 153010-000038 packs used in Stratus 2, 2S and 3.
