Replacement battery for Asus Eee PC

This lithium-ion pack fits a long list of Eee PC models including the 2G, 4G, 701, 701C, 800, 801, 8G and 900 series. It matches the original 7BOAAQ040493 and A22-700 part numbers. The white casing is brand new and built to OEM dimensions. Buyers with other notebook families will need a different battery.

Sustained runtime at 7.4V 5200mAh

The 5.2 Ah cell delivers steady current for typical netbook workloads such as web browsing and document editing. Voltage remains stable through the discharge curve so the system does not throttle unexpectedly. A full charge supports several hours of mixed use depending on screen brightness and wireless activity. Heavy gaming or video encoding will drain the pack faster.

140 by 38 by 40 millimetre form factor

The pack measures 140.00 x 38.00 x 40.00 mm and slides into the original battery bay without modification. Compatibility is limited to the Asus Eee PC models listed in the specification. Laptops that require a different physical footprint or connector will not accept this unit.

Questions about this item

Does the 5200mAh 7.4V Li-ion pack run hot or draw extra power during all-day use?

The 5.2 Ah lithium-ion cell matches the original 7.4 V specification, so thermal output and power draw remain identical to the factory battery.

Must the original Asus charger be kept to recharge this white DS-CS-AUA2MB unit?

Yes — the pack uses the laptop's existing charging circuit, so the standard Asus AC adapter supplied with the Eee PC is required.

Will this 140.00 x 38.00 x 40.00 mm battery fit the older Eee PC 701 and 900 models I still own?

The dimensions and connector match Asus part numbers 7BOAAQ040493 and A22-700, covering the 701, 701C, 800, 801 and 900 series.
