Thermals noise and power in normal use

Nickel-metal-hydride chemistry delivers steady output with minimal self-heating during typical drilling or driving tasks. No cooling fan is present so operation is silent. The 47.52Wh capacity supports extended run time between charges.

When the upgrade is worth it

This pack suits owners of listed Craftsman models who need a fresh 14.4V Ni-MH battery. It does not serve users requiring lithium-ion chemistry, higher voltage platforms or capacities above 3.3Ah. Builders needing a second simultaneous pack should order two units.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 14.4V 3.3Ah Ni-MH pack into my Craftsman 315.11453 drill and what step is often missed?

Slide the pack onto the tool’s battery rail until the latches click, then charge it fully before first use; the step most people skip is that initial full charge.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3300mAh Ni-MH cells need over time?

Expect to replace the pack when run-time drops below roughly 80 % of new capacity; Ni-MH cells do not require scheduled maintenance beyond normal charging cycles.

What limit appears first during sustained high-drain use of this 47.52Wh battery?

The 3.3Ah capacity is the limiting factor — continuous heavy draw will deplete the charge before thermal limits are reached.
