Questions about this item

What are the dimensions of the DS-CS-CFT538PX battery so I can confirm it fits my Craftsman tool?

The battery measures 104.55 x 84.50 x 113.24 mm and is designed as a direct replacement for the original Craftsman 130279001 pack.

How do I install this 12.0V Ni-MH battery, and what step do people often miss?

Slide the pack into the tool until the latch clicks; the step often missed is charging it fully before first use because Ni-MH cells ship at low state of charge.

What maintenance will this 3300mAh Ni-MH battery need over time?

Ni-MH batteries self-discharge; recharge every few months during storage and replace the pack when run-time drops noticeably after a full charge.
