Users needing direct replacement

Owners of the listed Makita drills and the ML901 flashlight who want a like-for-like Ni-MH pack will find this battery matches the voltage, capacity and form factor of the original equipment. Anyone whose tool requires a different voltage, a lithium-ion chemistry or a slide-on pack style should look elsewhere because this unit is a 9.6 V stick-type Ni-MH only.

9.6 V 3 Ah Ni-MH specification

The single deciding figure is the 9.6 V 3000 mAh nickel-metal-hydride rating; if your tool’s label or manual calls for that exact voltage and chemistry this pack will fit, otherwise it will not power the device correctly.

Questions about this item

Will the 88.21 x 57.52 x 99.44 mm pack fit my Makita 6201D drill?

Yes, the DS-CS-MKT620PX matches the original 192019-4 form factor and locks into every 9.6 V Makita tool listed, including the 6201D.

How do I install the battery without damaging the contacts?

Slide the pack onto the tool’s rail until the latch clicks; forcing it at an angle bends the brass terminals.

When should I replace this 3000 mAh Ni-MH pack?

Replace it when run-time drops below half of the original 3 Ah capacity or the pack no longer holds a full charge after a normal cycle.
