18 V 3 Ah Li-ion battery for Metabo tools

This replacement battery fits a wide range of Metabo 18 V cordless tools including drill drivers, impact drivers, angle grinders and hedge trimmers. It uses lithium-ion chemistry and carries a 3 Ah capacity rating. The black casing matches the original equipment appearance. It is intended for users who need a direct replacement for worn or lost original packs.

Sustained discharge on typical 18 V tools

Under continuous load the pack delivers steady voltage until the protection circuit cuts off at the end of charge. Runtime scales with the 3 Ah rating so heavier tools such as angle grinders will deplete it faster than lighter drill drivers. The lithium-ion cells maintain consistent output without the voltage sag seen in older nickel chemistries. Heat buildup remains moderate during extended cutting or drilling sessions.

Simple slide-on installation and common pitfalls

The battery slides onto the tool’s rail until the latch clicks, requiring no tools or wiring. A frequent issue is inserting the pack at an angle which can bend the contact pins inside the tool. Another common problem is storing the pack fully discharged for months, which can trigger a deep-sleep state that the charger cannot revive. Users who need longer runtime per charge should note the 3 Ah limit.

Questions about this item

Does the 18 V 3 Ah Li-ion pack run hot or draw heavy current during a full day of hedge-trimming with the AHS 18-55 V?

The battery uses standard Li-ion chemistry and is rated at 3 Ah, so heat and current draw stay within normal limits for an 18 V Metabo tool under continuous load.

Which Metabo charger do I already need to recharge the DS-CS-MTK570PW?

Any Metabo 18 V Li-ion charger that accepts slide-on packs — for example the units supplied with the BS 18 LTX or BE 18 LTX 6 series — will charge this battery.

Will the pack click securely into my older BS 18 LT Quick 602193500 drill?

Yes, the battery shares the same 18 V slide interface used across the BS 18 LT Quick range, so it locks in and powers the tool without an adapter.
