12.0 V 2 Ah lithium-ion battery powers Skil 12 V tools including circular saws, lights and drills

  • Li-ion chemistry delivers consistent power for 12 V Skil tools
  • 2 Ah capacity extends runtime on circular saws and lights
  • 0 V 24.00 Wh rating matches original equipment specs
  • 40 x 68.20 x 46.00 mm form factor fits existing battery bays
  • 100 % OEM compatible with BY500101 and RS58280 part numbers

Battery for Skil 12V tools

This 12.0V 2Ah lithium-ion pack replaces the original BY500101 cell for Skil 12V cordless equipment. It fits the 5-1/2 inch circular saw, mechanical light and a wide range of PWRCORE 12 brushless drills, drivers and inflators. The black housing matches the factory look.

Direct OEM-fit replacement

The pack slides into the same latch and connects to the identical terminals as the Skil original, so no adapter or firmware step is required. Capacity is rated at 24.00Wh, giving the same runtime envelope the tool was designed around. One unit ships in the box.

2Ah capacity for light-duty work

At 2000mAh the battery comfortably runs a 12V drill or flood light through typical fastening and inspection tasks. Extended high-drain cuts with the circular saw will exhaust the pack more quickly. Users needing all-day runtime on heavy applications should plan for a second pack.

Questions about this item

How long before the 2 Ah Li-ion cells need replacing?

The 2000 mAh pack is rated for hundreds of charge cycles; capacity will gradually drop after extended use.

What stops the 12.0 V pack during continuous cutting?

The built-in protection circuit cuts output if temperature or current exceeds safe limits.

Does the 103.4 x 68.2 x 46.0 mm pack get hot or noisy in all-day use?

Li-ion chemistry runs silently; the housing warms slightly under heavy load but stays within normal operating range.
