Replacement battery for France Telecom Amarys

The Cameron & Co DS-CS-STK265CL is a nickel-metal hydride battery built to fit Amarys 265, 265SF, 275, 285, 365, 465 and 465SF cordless phones. It replaces original part numbers FG0502 and NR800D01H3C120. The pack delivers 3.6 volts and a rated capacity of 500 milliampere-hours.

Thermal behaviour and power draw

Ni-MH chemistry runs cool during typical standby and talk cycles, so the handset body stays near room temperature. Self-discharge is moderate; expect a gradual voltage drop over weeks of non-use rather than a sudden loss. The 1.80 watt-hour rating supports normal daily call volumes without frequent recharging.

What the green pack changes

The green housing matches the original colour coding used on several Amarys models, making visual identification simple. A single unit weighs very little and slides into the existing battery compartment without tools. No charging cradle, cable or software is included; the handset's own charger manages the recharge cycle.

Questions about this item

How do I install the battery in my France Telecom Amarys 265, and what step is often missed?

Open the handset battery cover, disconnect the old pack, and connect the new 3.6V 500mAh Ni-MH battery ensuring the plug is fully seated; the step often missed is not pushing the connector in until it clicks.

What maintenance or replacement will the DS-CS-STK265CL battery need later?

As a Ni-MH pack it will gradually lose capacity; plan to replace it when talk time drops noticeably, typically after several hundred charge cycles.

What limit appears first during sustained use of this 1.80 Wh battery?

The 500mAh capacity limits continuous talk time; expect the handset to need recharging sooner than higher-capacity packs during long calls.
