Battery for AAronia Spectran handhelds

This replacement battery fits the AAronia Spectran Handheld Spectrum Analyser series and is sold new. It uses nickel-metal hydride chemistry and provides a nominal 7.2 V at 2000 mAh capacity. The pack is intended for field engineers and technicians who need a direct replacement for the original E-0205 cell.

Ni-MH chemistry limits continuous current

Nickel-metal hydride cells deliver lower peak current than lithium types and self-discharge more quickly when stored. Capacity drops in cold environments and the pack must be cycled occasionally to maintain full runtime. Users needing longer shelf life or higher discharge rates will find this chemistry restrictive.

Simple swap but watch polarity

The pack slides into the analyser's battery compartment and connects through the built-in contacts; no tools are required. Misaligned insertion can bend the contact pins and prevent charging. The 100.00 x 42.66 x 14.80 mm dimensions match the original housing exactly.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2000 mAh version or a different capacity for my AAronia Spectran handheld?

This pack is the single 2000 mAh / 14.40 Wh option listed; no other capacities are offered for the DS-CS-ARS100SL.

What does 7.2 V 2000 mAh actually deliver in the Spectran analyser?

It supplies 7.2 volts at up to 2 Ah, giving roughly 14.40 watt-hours of runtime before recharge.

Does the Ni-MH chemistry limit charge speed or cycle life compared to lithium packs?

Ni-MH cells typically accept slower charge rates and offer fewer cycles than lithium-ion, but they match the original spec for the Spectran handheld.
