What this battery powers

This Centenex Electronics lithium-ion pack replaces the original 98-034-0003 or BA12 cell in Line 6 James Tyler Variax JTV and Shuriken guitars. It delivers 7.4 V and 2600 mAh capacity for the instrument's onboard electronics.

What the bundle changes

The single black battery arrives ready to install with no extra cables, chargers or firmware tools included. Swapping the cell restores full operating time without modifying the guitar's cavity or wiring.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm your Variax or Shuriken model uses the 98-034-0003 or BA12 part number and that the 70.90 x 38.60 x 21.00 mm dimensions match the battery compartment. This pack is not suitable for instruments requiring a different voltage or form factor.

Questions about this item

How long does the Li-ion 2.6 Ah cell last before it needs replacing?

The 7.4 V 2600 mAh pack is rated for several hundred full charge cycles; capacity gradually drops after that point.

What stops the battery from running longer during a full-day gig?

The 19.24 Wh capacity is the hard limit; once depleted the pack must be recharged before the guitar works again.

Does the pack get hot or draw extra power when the guitar is played all day?

Normal operation stays cool; the Li-ion chemistry only warms noticeably under rapid charge or very high continuous drain.
