Replacement battery for Palfinger remote controls

This 7.2 V 3000 mAh Ni-MH pack replaces the original Palfinger 13445, 16131 and 17162 cells used in Kranfunksteuerung 590, 790 and 960 handheld units. It also fits Scanreco RC400, Cifa, Fassi and HMF transmitter models listed under part numbers 1026, 6024 and 7220. The black casing matches the factory colour and dimensions of 150.25 x 50.12 x 28.40 mm.

Direct-fit cell with no extra hardware

The unit ships as a single battery only; no charger, wiring loom or mounting brackets are included. Because it is a straight swap for the OEM pack, the existing charger and latch mechanism in the remote continue to work without modification. The 21.60 Wh rating restores the original run-time for crane and winch control duties.

Simple slide-in installation

Installation consists of opening the battery compartment, removing the depleted pack and sliding this replacement into the same rails until the latch clicks. The only common issue is corrosion on the remote’s contact springs, which should be cleaned before fitting the new cell to ensure reliable power delivery.

Questions about this item

How often will the 3000 mAh Ni-MH cells need replacing under daily crane remote use?

Expect two to three years of daily cycles before capacity drops below useful runtime; replace when operating time falls sharply.

What runtime limit appears first during continuous transmitter operation?

The 21.6 Wh pack typically delivers several hours of active control before voltage sag triggers low-power warning.

Does the pack get hot or draw extra current when the RC400 runs all day?

Ni-MH chemistry stays near ambient temperature during steady discharge; no forced cooling or high current spikes occur.
