Compatible Samsung models
This replacement battery fits the Galaxy Prevail 2, Galaxy Prevail II, Galaxy Ring and SPH-M840. It restores full power to those specific handsets when the original cell no longer holds a charge. The pack is built with high-quality cells to deliver reliable runtime for daily use. Owners of other Samsung phones cannot use this battery.
Upgrading from a worn original
It replaces the factory battery that has lost capacity after repeated charge cycles. The jump is worth it when the phone shuts down early or needs recharging before the day ends. No higher-capacity version is offered in this listing. Buyers who need more runtime than the original design provides will not find it here.
Simple user installation
The battery slots into the phone’s standard compartment without tools or adhesives. Most users complete the swap in under a minute by removing the back cover. The only common issue is forgetting to power the device off first, which can cause a temporary glitch. No soldering or firmware steps are required.

What is the correct order to connect the battery when installing it in the SPH-M840?
Power the phone off, remove the back cover, lift the old pack, align the new battery's contacts with the phone's connector, press it firmly into place, replace the cover, then power on.
How often will this replacement battery need to be swapped out under normal use?
The high-quality cells are engineered to deliver hundreds of charge cycles before capacity drops noticeably, typically lasting one to two years of daily charging before a further replacement is needed.
