The cameron Sion AeroFlex 7020-0012-500 is a new 7800mAh 11.1V lithium-ion pack built to match the original specifications for the 3500A, Cobham AvComm 8800S, IFR 3550R, IFR 4000, IFR 6000 and IFR 8800S analysers. It delivers 86.58Wh of capacity and fits the same 164.80 x 70.90 x 18.60mm footprint as the factory cell. A fully decoded chip communicates with the host device exactly like the original battery. This unit is not for buyers who need a different voltage or a higher capacity than 7800mAh.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The pack weighs 422.2g and contains integrated protection against overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short circuits. These circuits manage cell balance during normal charge and discharge cycles without audible noise or active cooling. Operating temperature must stay below 60°C (140°F) to maintain safety and longevity. The battery is not for users who require hot-swap capability or external thermal management.

Build Quality Connectors and Mounting

The housing uses the original mechanical layout so it seats securely in the instrument’s battery compartment without modification. Shock-absorbing foam in the retail package protects the pack during transport. A new battery reaches its best performance after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles.
