Installation requires opening the device and disconnecting the old pack, then connecting the new one using the existing connector. The 100% OEM-compatible design ensures the plug orientation matches the factory battery. The main risk is damaging the fragile ribbon cable or connector during removal, so work slowly and avoid excessive force.

Verify model number and connector before ordering

Confirm the GPS unit is a RoadMate 5045, 5045-LM or 5045LM and that the original battery carries part number 03A250XEQ0301. Check that the physical dimensions 50.00 x 35.00 x 6.00mm fit the internal compartment. Ensure the connector type on the old pack matches the replacement before proceeding.
