A single top button steps the low-voltage alarm threshold between off, 2.7 and 3.8 volts, defaulting to 3.3 volts, and the setting is saved after power removal. Reverse-connection protection prevents damage if the balance lead is plugged in backwards.

Continuous buzzer and red LED alarm under load

When any cell drops below the chosen threshold the tester sounds a continuous buzzer and flashes a red LED, giving an unmistakable warning during sustained discharge rather than a momentary beep. The alarm remains active until the pack is disconnected or the voltage recovers above the set point. Users who require silent monitoring or a higher cell-count display will need a different instrument.
