Canon CR-120 with Magnetic Reader

The Canon imageFORMULA CR-120 is a desktop document scanner designed for cheque processing in financial and retail environments. It reads both the printed image and the magnetic ink character line in a single pass. A 150-sheet feeder allows batches to be loaded without constant reloading.

Tellers and back-office staff handling cheque

This unit suits tellers and back-office staff who need fast cheque capture with magnetic stripe reading built in. Operations that only scan flat documents such as invoices or contracts will not use the MSR function and should look at a standard image scanner instead.

150-sheet automatic document feeder

The 150-sheet feeder capacity determines how many cheques can be processed in one unattended run. If your daily batch volume regularly exceeds this figure you will need a device with a larger hopper or a production-class transport.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Canon imageFORMULA CR-120 is feeding cheques correctly after installation?

Run a test batch through the 150-sheet feeder and verify each item is captured and transmitted via the USB connection without jam errors.

Which cables and guides are included with the 0132T237 and what must I source myself?

The box contains the CR-120 transport, a power cable, a USB cable, a setup disc, printed guides, a warranty card and a registration card; no additional cables are required for standard USB operation.

Should I choose the standard CR-120 or the MSR variant for magnetic stripe reading?

Select the 0132T237 model with MSR when you need to read magnetic ink character recognition and magnetic stripe data on the same device; the standard version lacks the stripe reader.
