Questions about this item

Will the 72 mm adapter fit my EF 85 1.2 L USM lens for macro flash work?

Yes, the EF 85 1.2 L USM is listed as compatible, so the adapter threads onto its 72 mm filter ring and accepts the MR-14EX or MT-24EX units.

How do I confirm the adapter is seated correctly before shooting?

Thread the adapter until it stops against the lens barrel, then lock the flash unit into the adapter’s shoe; the flash should sit flush with no wobble.
