15×50 Image-Stabilised Binoculars

The Canon 4625A002 is a roof-prism binocular with 15× magnification and a 50 mm objective lens. Its built-in Vari-Angle Prism stabiliser uses vertical and horizontal motion sensors to keep the view steady at long range. Multi-coated UD glass and a doublet field flattener deliver sharp, low-distortion images across a 67.5° apparent field of view.

Outdoor users needing steady high-power views

Birdwatchers, marine observers and stadium spectators benefit from the 15× reach and image stabilisation in a weather-sealed, rubber-armoured body. Buyers who want a lighter instrument for extended carrying or a wider real field for fast-moving subjects at close range should consider lower-magnification models.

15× magnification with optical stabilisation

The 15× power combined with the Vari-Angle Prism system is the decisive specification; it determines whether distant detail can be resolved without a tripod. The 50 mm aperture and 4.5° real field support that capability, while the 58 mm filter thread allows optional accessories.

Questions about this item

Will the 15x magnification and 50 mm objective lenses work well with my older tripod adapter?

The binoculars have a 58 mm filter thread on the objective barrels; a standard tripod adapter that clamps to that diameter will attach securely.

How can I confirm the image stabiliser is active once I power the unit?

Press the stabiliser button — the view should instantly become steady and a small indicator in the eyepiece lights up to show the system is running.

Which accessories ship in the box and which items must I purchase separately?

The package includes the binoculars, neck strap, objective and eyepiece caps, a soft case and two AA batteries; extra batteries or a tripod adapter are sold separately.
