Cinema Flex Zoom for Large-Format Production

The Canon CN-E 20-50mm T2.4 L FP is a full-frame cinema zoom lens built for 4K and 8K HDR workflows. It delivers a constant T2.4 aperture across the 20-50mm focal range for consistent exposure while zooming. The Flex series design supports interchangeable EF and PL mounts, adapting to different camera ecosystems. Colour science aligns with Canon Cinema EOS cameras for a unified look.

Mount Compatibility and Sensor Coverage

Verify that your camera uses either a Canon EF or PL mount before ordering. The lens covers a full-frame image circle, so it is intended for large-format sensors. If your camera has a smaller sensor, the field of view will be narrower than the marked focal lengths. The RL-S1 relay converter is included to maintain electronic communication with EF-mount bodies.

Thermal Behaviour and Power Draw

The lens is a passive optical device with no internal cooling fans or active electronics that generate significant heat. It draws no power of its own; aperture and metadata communication are powered by the camera body. In normal production use the barrel remains at ambient temperature and operates silently. No external power supply or thermal management is required.
