Wide-Angle Zoom for Full-Frame and APS-C DSLRs

This Canon L-series zoom covers a 17-40mm focal range with a constant f/4 maximum aperture. It is built for full-frame EF-mount cameras and also works on APS-C bodies where it provides a 27.2-64mm equivalent range. The bundle adds a 77mm three-piece filter kit, a lens cap keeper and a cleaning kit.

Optical Design Handles Extended Shooting Sessions

One Super UD element and three aspherical elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations to maintain sharpness and color accuracy during prolonged use. A Super Spectra coating suppresses flare and ghosting that can build up in bright or backlit conditions. The constant f/4 aperture keeps exposure consistent throughout the zoom range without ramping. Photographers who need a faster maximum aperture or longer telephoto reach should consider other lenses.
